Can’t believe summer is 1/2 over :(
As always, summer has been flying by…..
Lots of exciting weekends lately….including Chase and Cole turning ONE June 15th, we went to Michigan for their big beach birthday party, and it was a blast! They enjoyed all the attention from family, friends, and neighbors and even got to eat cake for the 1st time (with lots of frosting, of course!). Christy also had Annie’s bridal shower that weekend, so we killed 2 birds with one stone.
June 23-26, Laura and I went to South Dakota to visit Danielle, since she’s living there now. We flew into Pierre, the capitol, then drove out to Deadwood for the next 3 days. We did lots of sightseeing through the Badlands, the Black Hills, saw Mt. Rushmore, Custer National park, Deadwood, Lead, and Rapid City, a few museums, and Crazy Horse memorial….and we didn’t even gamble! (there’s a casino in every establishment) We had an incredible time despite the 3 nauseating flights it took getting there. Would HIGHLY recommend this trip to anyone!! I learned more American/Native American history in 4 days than I did all of sophmore yr. of high school!
We just got back last night from another weekend in Michigan…saw lots of fireworks, hung out at Jack’s cottage, went to the zoo, Christian got in 2 rounds of golf, and celebrated Chris’ Bday!!

Looks like a fantastic place, really love the dinosaur and man photo. I have always wanted to go to the South Dakota/Badlands since I saw some movie that was filmed there.
What is ‘Wall Drug’ by the way??
And that building that Danielle works in looks awesome, need some more of that type of building here in Aus.
